Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at support@paymntapp.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Paymnt is a simple, privacy-focused budgeting and cash-flow forecasting app designed to help you track earnings, bills, spending, and your future balance by pay cycle.

Paymnt is available only for iOS on the App Store.

Paymnt is a one-time purchase in the App Store and includes full functionality — no in-app subscriptions or additional purchases needed.

Paymnt uses:

  • Your starting balance
  • Your upcoming manual transactions
  • Your recurring income and bills
  • Your chosen payroll frequency

It automatically projects your cash flow forward and shows expected balance changes each pay cycle.

No. All data stays 100% on your device, stored securely using secure local storage. Nothing is transmitted to any server.

Yes. Editing a recurring item updates all future occurrences.  Past occurrences are locked to preserve your history.

With this feature, you allow a large upcoming bill to be spread across your pay periods before it’s due.

For example: if you have a $1,000 payment due soon and receive two paychecks before then, Paymnt helps you divide it into manageable set-asides across those two paydays.

This way you’re better prepared, instead of paying the full amount all at once.

If your recurring-date falls on a day that a particular month doesn’t have (for example the 31st), Paymnt adjusts it to the last valid day of that month so your schedule remains predictable.

“Cleared” indicates the payment has actually occurred in real life and has posted to your bank.

This helps you:

  • Reconcile your budget
  • See what still needs to be paid
  • Keep your forecast accurate

Note: Clearing a transaction in Paymnt is ONLY a visible marker for you to know the  transaction has cleared. Any transaction entered will impact balance, whether or not the "C" is utilized.

These dots show your upcoming recurring paydays based on:

  • Your payroll frequency
  • Your payroll anchor date

This helps you know when future income is expected.

In Paymnt, your calendar days are grouped into pay-cycle units (for example, from one payday to the next). Each period lets you view how much you expect to receive, spend, and end with, helping you plan ahead.

This is the date of your last known payday. Paymnt uses this to project future pay cycles.

You can always update it in Settings → Starting Balance.

No. All data is manually entered to keep your financial information secure and private.

Never.
